Under the sponsorship of the President of Congo-Brazzaville, Mr. Denis Sassou Nguesso and the Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Antonio Guterres
On the occasion of the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which this year celebrates its 75th anniversary, the politico-military leadership of the FLEC-FAC, seized this opportunity to relaunch the peace process in Cabinda.
The FLEC-FAC, encourages the Secretary General of the UN, Antonio Guterres to stimulate a dialogue between all parties.
The FLEC-FAC therefore invites the Secretary General to organize a mini-summit on peace in Cabinda and security in the region. We hope that the meeting will be held in Brazzaville, under the high authority of Mr. Denis Sassou-Nguesso, current President of the ICGLR, in which Mr. Félix Tshisekedi as Second Vice-President of the African Union should take part as well as Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli, current President of SADC and finally the Angolan President, Mr. João Lourenço.
This summit should lead to the adoption of a resolution calling for dialogue between the Angolan government and the FLEC-FAC.
The FLEC-FAC is now waiting for the UN to assume its responsibility towards the people of Cabinda and ensure full respect for their inalienable right to self-determination and independence.
Finally, we would like to welcome and support the initiatives of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, who calls for a ceasefire in situations of armed conflict, particularly in this period of global health crisis.
